Applicants for signature membership are required to submit six slides of their work. These slides are reviewed by the Jury of Selection. Applicants must receive a two-thirds majority vote of the Jury for admission to Signature Membership. The sole criteria for membership is the quality of the work shown in the slides presented. The applicant is expected to demonstrate a high level of skill as a painter and specifically in the use of the watercolor medium throughout all of the slides presented for review. Generally the slide reviews are conducted in November and April.

Annual dues are $35.00. There is no charge for submitting an application and dues are not collected until after acceptance as a Signature Member. Signature members are allowed to enter all shows sponsored by the Society and sign "CNYWS" after their name when they sign their work. They receive the Newsletter twice a year and are encouraged to serve on committees, the Board of Directors and as Officers of the Society.

Associate Membership Application

Associate membership is available to anyone interested in watercolor. Annual dues are $15.00. Associate members may attend all meetings and Society activities. They may also enter work in the Annual Juried Show. They receive the newsletter twice a year and are encouraged to serve on committees and the Board of Directors.
